Two German movies on the shortlist for the Oscars

In the German movie "Das Lehrerzimmer" by director Ilker Çatak a teacher (Leonie Benesch) wants to find out who is behind a series of thefts that occur at her school. ​

German filmmaker Wim Wenders shot his new film in Japan. "Perfect Days" is a movie about a toilet cleaner (Koji Yakusho) in Tokyo. It is also a Japanese Oscar candidate. ​
